Expert Vision Real-Time Call Monitor® is a product designed to catch and monitor predefined incoming or outgoing phone calls. It is oriented mainly to the security departments of the big enterprises where there is strict corporate policy about making phone calls.
Every phone call made using Cisco Call Manager generates three kinds of events:
- ringing (from outside or from inside number)
- call beginning
- call end
Each event for each call can be traced and registered in the database. The users of the system may define which events they are interested in so the events can be caught and registered. Such events can include:
- calling from a particular outside number
- dialling a particular outside number by a company employee
The goal is to catch malicious calls from a specified outside number or to trace inappropriate employee calls to surplus value numbers.
Cisco Call Manager transfers all the events to the server where the system is installed. The system automatically notifies the security officers or the system administrators about the beginning of a particular event. The notification can be by text message on the phone or by email to the recipient.
The server can forward the information about the event to another computer for a special treatment. For example, to record or to listen to the call made at that moment.
All events are registered in an event journal, so the users can view them at a later time.
The system is natively integrated with the ExpertVision Business Directory® product and it can automatically identify all the participants in a given phone call.
ExpertVision Real-Time Call Monitor® works with all versions of Cisco Call Manager.
